Questionnaire for Northern Toes

How long have you been knitting & how did you learn?
I have been knitting for 26 years, I applied for a job in a knitting and weaving store and had to learn past the basics

Would you consider your skill level to be beginner, intermediate or advanced?
Intermediate to advanced

What are your favorite colors? Any you dislike? I like pretty much any colour

Do you like Latvian type patterns?If so, what are your favorite patterns? Yes but I have never made a pair

Do you desire mittens for yourself, your "special someone else" or your child? Oh for myself, other people get mitts

What is the measurement from your wrist to the tip of your longest finger? 7 1/4 inches
What is the circumference of your hand at it's widest point? 8 inches

What other things do you enjoy knitting? Lately it has been socks, but also hats, scarfs, slippers and a sweater every now and then

What sort of needles do you enjoy working with? (straights vs circs, bamboo vs aluminum) I like 4 needles for socks and mitts, my favorite are called pony needles, which are metal covered in plastic

What’s one project you’ve not yet tried but are dying to make? This sweater I saw in a magazine

What’s one yarn you’ve not yet tried but are dying to work with? My new alpaca sock yarn

What other hobbies do you have? Do you spin? Sew? Garden? Cook? I like to cross stitch, read and play games with my kids

Besides yarn, do you collect anything? Not really

What kind of goodies do you enjoy? Sweets? Salty? Anything you hate or are allergic to? Chocolate is always good, not allergic to anything, but do not like anything that tastes like gummy bears

Do you have any kids? I have 2 kids a 15 year old girl and a 12 year old boy

Pets?We have 1 cat that we received when she was 12 years old and is now 15, her original owner moved to Scotland

What is your favorite part of Winter? I love the look of crisp clean snow after a snowfall

What is your least favorite part of Winter? Shovelling it, this year has not been too bad yet
