Check in for the week of 4/5 - 4/11

It's that time again and you all know the drill.

Please check in if your partner has not posted that they have received your packa to let me know what your status is. We're coming down to the last few people here. What a great group!

I sent my package on 26 March...Delivery confirmation shows it was received 28 March, but I have not heard from the recipient.

I sent my package out the other day. I had some difficulties as the grumperina at the post office first told me I was going to have to peel off all the pretty heart stickers in order to send the package. I could not believe it. She just said "You have a major problem," and I was like "uh, noooo.... I think the person with the MAJOR problem is YOU!" and I walked out of the place. I went to a different post office the next day and had no problems mailing it. People can be so weird. Anyway I have heard that my upstream buddy is still working on my mittens... but I am ecstatic that mine are DONE and sent away! I really hope they are not too big or anything and that she likes them. I am totally gonna put pics up after I know she has received them, but I do not want to spoil the surprise! :)

Mittens received!!

Wow! They are beautiful!! What size needle did you use Carissa?? It is actually cold enough here - there was frost this morning - that I can wear them today.
My daughter is requesting hot chocolate for the afternoon - I'm sure we'll take it camping with us all summer.

I'd like to try knitting lace again. I was a Mystery Stole 3 drop out. So I'll be reading the book and attempting it with the gorgeous yarn you sent. It always throws me that such little skeins of lace have such huge yardage.

Thank you soo much!!
